JH: REPENT FINAL WARNING— I’ve seen this sign for real off the highway and have always got a kick out of it in “Dump,” how it couples so well with the chop and wine; but can you shed some light on the coupling? How it arose, etc…?
PP: I saw the one, as you did, and made the other up to go with it, making as much sense. This story, “Dump,” by the way, does not make sense. I suppose it might have momentarily.
