JH: What’s the most arousing form of transportation?
MB: The most arousing form of transportation would have to be a bus. Not sure why. The vibration, the air brakes, the noise, the sometimes odd smells that aren’t entirely unpleasant? Maybe all of those things. Maybe the idea of “shared travel,” of moving together, of working as a unit. Maybe bus travel sparks the zen of connectedness in me. And it’s on the ground. It’s not in the air. It’s not in an airtight tube. It’s not recycled air. It’s better. It’s real. Nothing stirs the loins better than the blunt reality of bus travel.
